MECIP — A Legal-Compute Infrastructure Protocol

A legal-compute protocol designed so the people who create AI's value keep a fair share of it.

This page anchors the direction of MECIP. Below is the directional framework, disclosed to open the conversation — not the full design.

The core idea

  1. Contributor returns structured as patronage-style dividends — legally distinct from wage income, so value routes back to contributors without recharacterizing the relationship.
  2. Rights to schedule and direct compute structured so they need not be carried as a lease.
  3. Contribution-and-return instruments designed to fall outside regulated derivative / commodity treatment.
  4. Contributor participation structured to avoid triggering wage-and-hour employment classification.

The full specification, statutory mapping, and legal templates are available on request — shared with serious collaborators only.

Where this stands

MECIP's core legal and institutional architecture is structured and has been stress-tested through multiple rounds of adversarial review. I now seek critique from those sharper than me — if you see a structural flaw, I want to hear it.
